Executive Director

Tyler has served as the Executive Director of BLAEDC since 2020. He originally joined the organization in 2017 as the Economic Development Officer to lead the newly created BLAEDC Unified Fund. In that role, he managed daily economic development activities and spearheaded BLAEDC’s Business Retention and Expansion (BR&E) Program, engaging directly with business leaders throughout the area.

Before relocating to the Brainerd area in 2015, Tyler spent over 20 years building a career in marketing, sales, and commercial banking. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Hamline University, where he was also a member of the football and baseball teams.

Tyler is actively involved in the community and currently serves on the board of directors for Cuyuna Regional Medical Center, Lakes Area United Way, the Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation, and the CTC Board of Directors.
